Whitland now has a listserv!
LISTSERV is an automatic email mailing list that allows neighborhood residents and the Whitland Area Neighborhood Association board to quickly broadcast email messages to anyone who has subscribed to the mailing list service. It's easy, free, and a great way to keep up with what's going on in the neighborhood.
Timely news, crime alerts and other communications will be sent to all mailing list subscribers. We have just a few guidelines, which are: Postings should be relevant to residents of our neighborhood. If the posting is to benefit a non-profit organization, please include the name of the organization in the Subject line for the e-mail. The following WOULD NOT BE PERMITTED:
Items for sale
Advertisements of homes for sale or apartments for rent
Postings about contentious issues, written to present one point of view are discouraged and will not be permitted. The exception to this rule is in circumstances where the Board of Directors of Whitland Area Neighborhood Association has voted to take a formal; position on an issue and needs to inform neighbors of that decision.
Commercial services offered (please submit these to the newsletter as a paid advertisement)
Political candidate endorsements or events for one candidate. (Postings advertising a candidates' forum or similar event to which all candidates are invited, and which is organized by a neutral party, are allowed.
There is no charge to subscribe. After subscribing, an email message will be sent to you with instructions for unsubscribing from the list and for changing options regarding message delivery.
In addition to receiving email delivery of notices that have been posted, subscribers may also submit items to be sent to the mailing list. Because this is a moderated list, all submitted items will be reviewed for appropriateness before being posted. Submissions should be limited to non-commercial items of general neighborhood interest, usually of a time-sensitive nature. For longer items, which may be better suited for a newsletter article, please contact your current newsletter editor.
Whitland thanks moses.com and Sitemason for their help in making this transition to our new LISTSERV possible!
