Creek Clean Up
The Whitland Area Neighborhood Association is hosting a creek clean up for Kingfisher Branch this coming Saturday, April 23rd starting at 9:00 am . The greenery (privet, honeysuckle, and various trees, etc.) is in pretty good shape with limited trimming and removing needed (maybe some around the Rolland and Leonard intersection), however, the creek in general has a lot of trash and plant debris that needs to be cleaned up. This shouldn t take too long and we expect the Creek Clean Up to probably be over by 11:00 at the latest depending upon neighbor participation. Come out, grab a trash bag and clean up for an hour or two, and return home for nice spring day. We ll meet at the Carden bridge at 9:00 and will have trash bags for all that join (gloves are recommended). In the event of extreme weather or dangerous conditions around the creek (extremely high water) we will alert in advance and reschedule this event.
