Earth Day Creek Cleanup

In celebration of Earth Day, the Whitland Area Neighborhood Association (WANA) is hosting one of its two annual creek clean ups on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Join your neighbors for coffee, donuts, water and our efforts to care for own beautiful natural resource, the Kingfisher Branch Creek along Rolland Road.

Our goal is to collect trash and debris in and around the creek along Rolland Road (Kingfisher Branch) as well as increase erosion control around the Carden Bridge. We will not be trimming trees or bushes. Bring boots/waders/ gloves. Children older than age 10 are welcome if accompanied by their parent(s). We need some strong adults to help place the material for erosion control. Trash bags will be provided.

In case of inclement weather, WANA will send an email to the WANA Google Group the morning of the event and reschedule for the following Saturday.

We look forward to seeing you next Saturday at the Carden Bridge!
