The Whitland Area Neighborhood Association is governed by a Steering Committee. The Steering Committee has responsibility for the administrative affairs of the Association. It consists of four annually elected officers and a miniimum of six additional members, who are elected to two-year terms. These members of the steering committee are, to the extent possible, representative of each street and development within the Whitland Area.
Monthly meetings of the Committee are held the second Thursday evening of each month (except July) in the home of committee members. The Steering Committee meetings are open to all neighborhood residents. Visitors to the meetings who wish to include an item on the agenda should contact the President or Vice-President in advance, to ensure that time will be avilable for discussion.
Steering Committee members are elected at the annual meeting from a slate of nominees created by a Nominating Committee. Anyone who is interested in nominating themselves or someone else to serve as an officer or committee member should contact a committee member with this information before December 31st each year.
