Neighborhood Yard Sale and Dumpster Day
On Saturday, September 25th WANA (the Whitland Area Neighborhood Association) will sponsor a neighborhood yard sale. Several sales will be hosted within our neighborhood including sales on Carden Avenue, Leonard Avenue, Craighead Avenue, and Whitland Avenue. Festive helium balloons will be indicators in front of each sale and there will be maps available at each site showing the location of all of the sales. Please observe safety protocols for Covid and lets hope for a beautiful Saturday.

Additionally, this coming Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th will be our annual dumpster day . Two 40 yard dumpsters will show up early to mid afternoon on Friday the 24th, they will be located on Whitland Avenue in front of 3750 Whitland (near Carden intersection) and in front of 3701 Whitland Avenue (near Craighead intersection), and they will be taken away mid afternoon on Saturday (Waste Management is a bit imprecise on their arrival and take away times). These dumpster surprisingly typically fill up very fast so make definitive plans to arrive with waste Friday afternoon or as early as possible on Saturday morning. Once full we will close the dumpsters and hopefully Waste Management will come and go at the appropriate times. No chemicals, paints, or electric appliances are allowed in the dumpsters.

Hope all are remaining safe during our extended pandemic limitations. Come on back normal life soon please !!
